OUR STORY

A Warm Welcome Awaits at Maggie’s Place

Learn more about our family-run café, our passion for homemade food and why visitors return time and time again.

OUR STORY

A Family Café with Heart

Maggie’s Place opened in December 2025 on Ross-on-Wye High Street, founded by Kate and Mark alongside their three children. Named after Kate’s late grandmother, Margaret Simms, the café celebrates her love of tea, chocolate and bringing people together. Today, that same spirit lives on in everything we do, creating a warm and welcoming space where everyone feels at home.

Our Philosophy

Time to Slow Down

At Maggie’s Place, we believe life is best enjoyed at a gentler pace. Whether you’re joining us for a traditional afternoon tea, homemade cake or freshly brewed coffee, our aim is to create an experience where you can relax, reconnect and enjoy good conversation without feeling rushed. Every visit is about quality, comfort and genuine hospitality.

OUR VALUES

Fresh Food, Kind Service

Everything we do is guided by three simple principles: exceptional service, high-quality ingredients and kindness. We prepare our food with care, source local and sustainable produce wherever possible and treat every customer as a valued guest. Whether you’re visiting from Ross-on-Wye or travelling from further afield, we look forward to welcoming you to Maggie’s Place.
